Battlefield Heroes Q&A with Colin Clarke
The official Battlefield Heroes website today posted a new Q&A with Colin Clarke from Dice. The interview reveals some interesting facets of the game.
According to Clarke, buildings and obstacles will not be destructible, mainly to keep system requirements down and to make the game easier to play for casual gamers.
In tune with the keep it simple mindset, all 3 classes will have unlimited ammo and the ability to heal themselves on the go. The soldier class, however, will have an exclusive ‘group heal ability’ which can effectively make him a medic.
Clarke also revealed some general weapon information. The most interesting tidbit is that only one class will have access to grenades, although other classes will have some other form of explosive on hand.
Like other Battlefield games, stationary anti-air weapons will be scattered throughout the map.
On the topic of game play, Clarke mentions the importance of balance. He dictates that success in a duel depends not so much on how powerful your special abilities or weapons are, but “how you use what you have.”
